How do I turn this into more than friendly?

I have a thing for a woman I used to indirectly work with. She was a location manager and I was just a delivery guy.
We'd be very friendly in the building and we exchanged numbers. We'd talk a bit and she told me about how her sister isn't in her life and how hard it is on her.
Anyway I'd text her a lot, even brought her chocolate once. But aftera month she was seeing someone.

It's been about 5 months and she quit and works for another company but now I see her more. I asked if she'd want to get together in a non work setting and she said yes once she's settled in the new job. I said I knew she was seeing someone, so if it made her uncomfortable or him, I understood. But she said we could get together.

Today we talked about it again, and she said she knew my intentions of getting together and I'm not trying to hit on her

But I am.

I know she's not seeing that guy anymore, so what can I do here?

You do the only reasonable thing.

You just don't insist. You made it clear to her that you wanted to see her. She is not stupid and knows very well what the real reasons why a guy wants to meet a woman is.

Even though you pretended not to be interested in anything else but a casual meeting on a platonic level, she is aware that there is more to it than what you pretend.

It is now up to her to make the next move. If she contacts you, then you are fine and if she does not, then just let it be and move on.

The fact that you think she is not seeing that man anymore does not automatically mean she is free for grabs.
