Girls, Does this approach annoy girls or flatter girls?

Guy: “hey I noticed you and I just wanted to introduce myself and say you look beautiful and can I get your number”

Correct me if I’m wrong girls, but I’m guessing if guys have this approach with you or with girls in general she would be stand off’ish. Unless she finds him attractive, but even then girls usually don’t play these comments with a polite thank you.

Is this a better approach, hey can I get your input on something it’s a topic for class, to try and engage with her. If it’s something that interests her, guy says, hey I gotta go it was nice chatting with you, can I add you on social media somewhere?

In my opinion you can't just go to a girl and ask for a social. You should either be talking with her about a topic and as the conversation goes on and then mention social media. Most girls will be "offended" if a random guy just asked them for their personal details, like phone number or social so you should be careful with girls. Don't forget that if you are having a good talk with a girl in real life it is sufficient, having her social doesn't mean necessarily you will end up in a relationship

It's honestly better than being hit on and seeing you could see my boobs out of the blue.
