I’ve known this person for close to a year now. We have a long history of teasing and when we met we hit it off instantly and I guess you can say we had a nice bond. It was weird because I wouldn’t consider us work friends but if you worked with us then you would definitely think we were friends or something.
I didn’t think she liked girls at all until our whole thing played out. I’ve seen her get quiet or angry when I mention a guy I’m dating. She is in a position above me but I’ve seen her get me in trouble after she heard me on the phone with him and o told him “I love you too”. I’ve mentioned that him and I argue a lot and once I came in kind of upset and she tried to comfort me and ask me what was wrong a couple of times and I think she might’ve assumed we had another argument.
She acts normal now months later. I wouldn’t say our bond has fizzled out but it’s gotten less intense after that whole boyfriend thing of her getting me in trouble. She’ll still tease me and she’s touched me which surprised me but honestly she’s playful and nice with other coworkers. However I’ve never seen her tease anyone else like she does me or touch them.
When we’re alone she won’t find me and talk to me because she has to stay at the entrance but I am very closed off. And she only schedules me a couple of days a week at most.
Today she gave me a project to do and handed me some boxes and I groaned because I hated extra work and she said “I’m giving you these boxes because I care about you”. She sounded really serious when she said it. A week ago there was an incident where a customer made me upset and her and I talked about it alone and she asked me how I felt and said she didn’t want me to be uncomfortable and implied she cared but didn’t actually say it.
I won’t see her for awhile, but why would she say this?
