Are depressed emo guys unattractive?

It’s like so many girls I talk to seem to like fetishize emo guys and think the aesthetic is really hot or whatever but then when they find out I’m like actually insane and hate my life and don’t really care if I die I’m suddenly like the most unattractive guy in the world or something. Is this true? Is this just how it is? Cuz like even emo girls find me unattractive when they realize how depressed I am.

I think the aesthetic is attractive, but the prospect of actually being serious about the suicide jokes is pretty sad.

Short answer: YES, they are unattractive. Some women may share the feelings and like the aesthetic, but misery does not appeal.
