Men LOVE long hair and tasteful makeup. Women like the power they get to almost "take back" when they have long, beautiful hair and their makeup done. It's no secret that men are visual, so we might as well play the hand we were born with, if that makes sense. Society, and especially men, treat us better when we look our best versus just rolled out of bed or with a short, choppy haircut.

Different women have different reasons for being into nails. Not all women like them. The ones who do their nails all one color, French, or something similar with a normal length usually do them because they make the hands look more feminine. Also, men like the feeling of long acrylic nails running through their hair. Natural nails are thinner and more jagged and knife-like, while acrylics are more like plastic brush bristles.

As for the crazy long decorated acrylic nails, I believe it's either cultural or cultural appropriation towards the black community. From my understanding, it's cultural for black women to do them this way because it stems from the adornment their ancestors wore in Africa. Aside from the occasional holiday-decorated nails, non-black women who do this are either teens or culturally appropriating.

It's just something that girls like, not because of guys.

Sure, if they are with a guy and they're going on a date then they will put the effort to look nice for him and try to impress him. But aside from that, I'd say that women are more concerned with the opinions of other women than men lol Women are a lot more critical of their looks. But more than anything, it's just about art and self expression and it's something most women enjoy.

Also, it's not true that men don't like it. Sure they might say they don't like make up but will in almost every case pick a girl that has it but is not noticeable over a girl that doesn't and just looks plain. In my experience men also prefer long hair but don't care about nails.

I think it's because they can trick dumb guys. I mean yeah maybe us brainy guys look at the zits covered up with powder, the weird drawn on surprised eyebrows, and we just sort of grit our teeth and back away.

But us dudes have an intelligence bell curve that's way fatter than the females. Meaning we have way more retards and way more geniuses. Females are usually pretty fucking average. It is what it is... there are plenty of retards that fall head over heels for Ronald Ms. Dondald's looks. Easy to trick dudes and easy attention for women. ... and I mean, seriously, onlyfans wouldn't exist if there wasn't so many suckers falling for parasocial relationships as if they're getting somewhere. These dudes drool at a really ugly chick with clown makeup on and they get taken advantage of. They don't even comprehend that the chick doesn't even really like them... that the woman that has them tricked so easily just like the attention and/or monetary gains.

It's generally an art for or method of expression.

I keep a short beard even though girls generally like beards less. Same with glasses. I think I look better with glasses. Surveys of women say they prefer men without glasses.

But yeah, it's pretty clear they do it more for each other and/or conformity rather than for attracting men. Otherwise there are a TON of modern styles that would be an absolutely no-go. Things like drawn eyebrows, duckface, extra long nails, glasses with "wings", and a whole manner of other styles. And if their goal was to appeal to men, the standards would also be way less strict.

Another apt comparison would be bodybuilders. Bodybuilders sculpt their body as a sport in itself. If they do so competitively, it's to impress male judges in specific ways. Women find it horrifying, but it was never about women. Otherwise, they would stick with something between lean-fit or strong-man and would wear suits.

”Guys don’t like it” lol yeah right. Tell me how you love the look of all of those natural no-makeup girls and I could tell you the whole list of 20 products she’s using in just that photo alone. Guys think they like ”natural” girls but no, what they like is neutral colored makeup because they’re too blind to realize it’s there, but it makes her look prettier (and his dumb ass thinks she naturally looks like that). Only if it’s something like neon green might they see it, and then they’ll say they don’t like makeup on girls, as if makeup only come in bright or strong colors lmao. The girls who are actually not wearing any makeup you call ugly, plain or tired looking. As sad as it is it’s not exactly all the actual no makeup girls men tend to chase after or admire the beauty of. And yes, most men absolutely like long hair on women.

With that said, a lot of women just love doing hair, nails or makeup because they think it’s fun. Like a hobby. Not everything women do is for men, even though I know many of you’d like to think so.

I haven't worn makeup since 2nd grade ballet. I hate makeup. But i’d consider it for the wedding day. I haven't worn nail polish since kindergarten. I hate nail polish. My hair hasn't been long since after graduating college. I wish it still were, but it hasn't been after a bad stylist and it hasn't grown long again. I’m not going to wear weave nor extensions unless I’m going out of town to somewhere with a beach/pool in which I’d wear braids. But I’d remove the braids the same week I got them because i hate the weight of fake hair and its hard to sleep in

I honestly don't know, I did ir once so my friends can leave me alone about it. Even made them pay for it. After one day I got rid of it all, it didn't feel like me and it made me uncomfortable because I'm comfortable with my natural face. So now they know and truly understand that I hate: fake nails, eyelashes, makeup, and whatever that word is called that they do to your eyebrows.
As for the hair, I don't care for long length but do to this rare disease I had, my hair was falling out. It's finally growing back but it's not 100% healthy and I don't think it will. So I no longer dye my hair, so usually when I want a color I will buy shoulder length colored hair extensions and then have my mom cut it to my real hair length ( pass my hair ) .

"Guys don't like it" that's the thing, lots of guys do like it. There's a vocal portion (minority? Half? Who knows what percent) of guys who don't like makeup, but I get so much more attention from men when I have makeup on. But the reason I love it is because there's a certain pride that comes when you put effort into your appearance. The same as when a guy trims his beard and puts on a well fitted suit. It feels good to make myself look the way I want and play with my appearance.

I am a make up artist and stylist. I can assure you when I do wedding events etc. Men are very happy with how there bride looks and the confidence blooms.
If your happy with wearing make up and having long hair and nails done then so be it.
Its not about pleasing other people with the way you look it's about pleasing yourself.

I love long hair!! The longer, the better!! I don't so much MIND make-up, as long as she doesn't go overboard on it. I remember in high school all the girls suddenly had very blue eyelids! In a few cases, it actually looked nice, especially if they didn't OD on it but, most often, it looked kinda stupid! Just like how, now, they have such thick black rings around their eyes they look like they were punched in the eyes or are trying to look like a raccoon!! There's some woman I've seen on the news, her name is Maria. With her puffy lips, slightly big nose and VERY dark rings around her eyes, she looks like Barbra Streisand trying her best to look like Ringo Starr's cartoon character in "Yellow Submarine"! I saw her the other day without all that black shit and she looks a lot nicer.

My hair is really long I can almost sit on my hair. So I always put my hair in nice updos or different styles. I think it's a good thing that the girl cares about her appearance. personally I enjoy it more if a female is all natural from top of her head to soles of her feet and everything in between. though I do find females with long natural hair that is their natural color to be more attractive on average.
