Why can my friend dish it out, but she can't take it?

She always tells me I'm "short" and "too skinny", and criticises everything about me. Even tries to embarrass me in front of others and tells me guys don't like me. But when I tell her she too is "short" (we are the same height but she's curvy and I'm skinny), she gets defensive and tells me to "fuck off" and that she isn't short.

Why does she dish it out if she can't handle it back? She's played the victim and told her boyfriend I "put her down" when that's what she does to me.
