Why do some people dish it out, but can't take it back?

I've got this friend who is always saying things to make me worry about my relationships with my boyfriend. Like little side comments saying maybe he likes other girls, maybe he doesn't like me secretly etc.

I tried giving her the same treatment about her relationship to show her how it feels to be on the receiving end, but even if I give the smallest comment about her relationship she gets really angry and tells me to "fuck off." Why can she dish out these insults, but not handle the heat back at her?
