How is calling a guy gay a compliment? And why do women think this would make men want to speak to them?

Basically everywhere I go women love to talk shit about me and call me gay. Apparently im look to good to be straight, walk gay and too quiet to be straight. Personally I take it as an insult and write the girl off after that but apparently I’m an asshole for ignoring girls that do that. The way I see it is that they are telling me that they aren’t interested and that I’m unwanted. So why would I waste my time. Also if I was gay how is that your business and what are they trying to gain by telling everyone that I am gay. Kinda feels like they’re either trying to ruin my reputation or just treat me like shit.

I don't know man I think I may have it the worst. I genuinely think that most women hate that I exist. It’s crazy cause most refuse to speak to me and tell people how I’m weird and don’t talk to anyone so I’m gay which makes people not talk to me. This has hurt me socially and professionally.
