Well you have to remember just because something looks like that's the way it is doesn't really mean that that's the way it is
We can agree most men are selfish in a round about way. and in many ways
I think most men it's all about them we also know that the feeling we have within is ours we know there's no one in side of us except us. .
So that means we know that if we want to be happy we have to be happy. We have do the things that make us happy or we have to create that feeling just because guys go out after they're broken up doesn't mean that they still don't feel the pain but we kind of mask it and just keep going forward
But then you have guys that did something stupid in the first place to cause the break up and the only pain they feel is the pain of getting caught
All men are different some don't ever want to feel that feeling again so it might take 2 months to 2 years from 2 years to 8 years and every thing I just said about men.
It's the Same for women everyone I'd different
western society is an enabler for bad behavior from those who are deemed to be the "victims" of said society. that means women, people of color, LGBTQ etc. it's fair game to treat the supposed "oppressors" badly in public.

I homestly can't recall a case of seeing a copule being nasty, beside one case on the bus, but I think the girl there had an issue as she insult everyone almost, and her boyfriend keep looking around giving a kind of a "Ignore her" face, was odd

It's a socially expected thing. Men know that if they respond, people will come to the woman's aid, so it's easier to just keep our mouths shut and take the abuse.
My girlfriend and I don't do that. Not I know of. We tease each other. Talk shit. But its all in fun. If I feel like its putdowns or major criticism then I wouldn't care if its in public or not. I'd stop it rt then and there.
On the other hand, have we argued yes of course. Publicly or not. Its just being in a relationship. It happens sometimes.
Usually, young men put up with mercurial women for sex. Couples with children, of course, have other motivations to make things work.
Majority of girls are actually bad too , like good guys bad guys. It's very common and naturalised to abuse men in public , I have seen so many times in restaurants , public places.
Because most of the guys are simp they suck girls feet just because girls have 2 balloons & one hole. Lol
