They don't. It just seems that way to you. That may very well have been your experience. But overall, that's just not true. It's about 50/50 I'd say.

I don’t think so. Plenty of men who pursue women who are clearly not into them and have even expressed it

Vasopressin (males) and Oxytocin (females). Our love hormones. A male's genuine interest is harder to get, but harder to lose. A female is sort of like doing an opiate. The butterflies, and oh so blown away... is quick and hits hard... and the high doesn't last though. It's why the female side can get fed up and just drop things and move on like it was nothing... even right from the start. A dude is like that too... but with enough time, even if he feels the urge to cheat he'll want to keep her as his... It's like he wants to bang something else but keep what he's been banging too... that loyalty and dedication are in a way sort of still there.

That's my take on it... if interested, do some research into it.

I found it all pretty interesting and it explained a lot of the behaviors I've seen in my life.

I would like to clarify that sexual interest is another hormone... I was just talking about relationships. The sex part and the bond part are different.

Vasopressin is the hormone that's responsible for maintaining body water at the collecting duct of the nephron, not a love hormone 🤦🏾‍♂️

@Datboi65 My dude... It took me literally 15 seconds to just google it. Testosterone does other things as well, but I'm not going to come at you and be like, "Testosterone is involved in the production of red blood cells." 😂

"Oxytocin and vasopressin are the hormones most closely associated with romantic love. They are produced by the hypothalamus and released by the pituitary gland; and while men and women are both influenced by oxytocin and vasopressin, women are more sensitive to oxytocin and men are more sensitive to vasopressin. You use Google is an arguing point which tells me you don't know what you're talking about.

The other name fir vasopressin is antidiuretic hormone (from the process of diuresis), or ADH for short. It decreases the volume of water released at times of dehydration, to preserve the body water composition and to maintain blood pressure. It is not a love hormone.

Testosterone has nothing to do with this. It's not only a sex hormone, but also an anabolic steroid (promotes build up of proteins). Ones again, wrong comparison.

      Stop spreading misinformation.

Also, oxytocin isn't the love hormone, that's serotonin. Once again, you're wrong.

To tell you the truth, it's not as simple as saying one is a "love hormone" but I only put it that way because people tend to follow that. Serotonin and dopamine are both usually involved in happiness, and their absence causes depression (monoamine theory). Since love is a part of happiness, therefore these two hormones would be elevated.

@Datboi65 You've come in bad faith and just want to argue with someone. MHO is already picked. Just move on.

Early in our relationship, I told my girlfriend I love her (because I did), then went outside to smoke because of how uncomfortable the silence was lol.

It wasn't until a month or two later that she finally said it back 😐

I'm sorry, what were you saying about girls and feelings?

I don't think that's true. It does seem that girls aren't afraid to let you know exactly how they feel. I know that the relationships I've been in, she would not hesitate to show or tell me how she felt. I usually felt the same way but wasn't the greatest at showing it.

Wrong... Wrong... Wrong !!! From across the room, I "caught a feeling" way before you did or I would have never been pulled and directed toward you and Conversation :-)

Because women are always actively looking for a relationship. Men know it's pointless to try. Because if she ain't feeling him ain't nothing happening

Always? women tend to be more emotional, and getting feelings can be dangerous.

Not at all true, we’re just hesitant to say anything because we know nothing turns a girl off faster than letting her know you’re interested

Because women, on average, are different than men. Their brain chemistry, as well as other things, differ. Not in a bad way, personally I find it quite appealing. But that's the honest truth.

If that was the case women would be pursuing men and not the other way around.

It’s not always the woman who gets feelings first. Some guys come off like lost puppies to the women they get feelings before.
