Why is her action different from her words?

I asked her to be my girlfriend she said she would think about it, after two weeks she said no, but she still called me and video calls me. a month later I went to see her at home and she became so cold towards me which made me angry and I left her house. the next week I dropped a gift for her with her mother and she pretended as if she did not see the gift, but her mother told me her daughter reAlly loved the gift I sent her and she is only pretending.

There could be so many reasons for this. It could just be that she isn't sure what she wants, but more likely than not, she probably just really likes the amount of attention she is getting from you. She may not be activly trying to lead you on, but may also like the amount of comfort and affection you tend to give her. It's a (possible subconscious) selfish act of self validation and her way of keeping those feelings of warmth, comfort, love from an outside source, and that feeling of power from within. If you weren't there she wouldn't be able to get such feelings due to the fact that she is single and is not with anyone, but because you are constantly giving her attention and picking up her phone/video calls, you are feeding into those selfish desires of hers at the cost of your own feelings. If I were you I would just cut off as much contact with her as possible, maybe going to no contact mode for at least 3 weeks. From that she will either have to move onto someone else or may realize that she likes you more than she thinks, but during that time, you will be able to work on and focus on yourself. Who knows, maybe you will even move on and find someone who actually appreciate you for who you are, which is what you deserve.

As for the gift thing, it could just be her mom's way of making you feel better about the whole situation. Don't think too much about it since she wasn't the actual one who told you that she loved the gift. Third party information is not always the most trustworthy, so unless she straight up came up to you and said she loved the gift, take all other sources of info with a grain of salt.

I think she feels like you are still treating her in a way that shows romantic intentions, after she told you she doesn’t want a romantic relationship with you… so she is acting cold and pretending about the gift to get across the point that nothing romantic will come from any gestures or efforts on your part. She might think you aren’t respecting her answer

Let her go, forget about her and find a different girl. Also, don't ask a woman to be your girlfriend. Once she know she has you wrapped around her finger she will lose interest. Wait until you ha e been dating and she says something like "what are we?/where is this going?" That is when you can ask her if she wants to be exclusive.

It's a huge red flag. Some women are insane. Others are manipulative. Both are going to act in this way towards men.
