Just as question title says.
apparently people say its fine to have 1 glass of wine whilst pregnant, and I actually had a pediatrition tell me 1 or 2 beers won’t hurt anything. The reason I’m asking is I literally just found out I’m pregnant but I had plans to go the carnival 🎡 and beer gardens with my boyfriend. I’m not a drinker at all, and I might only want a sip not a whole beer
I personally would say, absolutely not. At this point, your body is not yours anymore, you have a temporary tenant. And the better you take care of that tenant, trying to eat absolutely The BEST you personally can afford (raw vegetables, fruits, fried foods, No Pork or bacons, or anything fried etc... for 9 months) the list is very, Very long. Because the healthier you are, the healthier your baby will be, not only during and after 9 months, but also for his/her entire life. But that's just me, that's just my personal opinion on pregnancy. No smoking, no drinking even a drop, trying to give my wife as stress free and as happy and laughing environment as I possibly can, because all if it, directly effects and reflects on your baby development, which will effect his/her growth well into his/her adulthood.
Alcohol is poison and your unborn baby gets hurt by it.
Its best to avoid it during pregnancy.
One time would probably not cause any longterm issues, but better not risk it.
If you’re not a drinker, what’s the inclination to suddenly do so whilst pregnant? I mean sure a sip won’t hurt, but what’s even the point of that? To me, this isn’t a decision to struggle over and potentially regret later, it’s just not that serious to swig on some beer. You only have a handful of months to be sober, then drink to your hearts desire lol I’d rather wait.
u No amount of alcohol is safe while pregnant. Don't listen to the guys saying you can just drink a bunch of water after and it will be okay. The risk is still there. Speak to your OB/GYN about it, and not a pediatrician.

If your doctor/a doctor you trust says it's fine then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just go light, which it wounds like you would anyway.
According to the latest science, there is no safe dosage of alcohol, it is all damaging to the cells. Especially so while being pregnant.
I've had my ob tell me that a glass of a wine is fine but I always avoided it anyways. A few sips of beer will probably be okay
