My boyfriend ask why I’m such a friendly person and noticed that I tend to accept hugs from guys. But I do the same with girls for greeting or saying bye. I mostly only accept a hug if the guy is a good friend of mine or if they take the initiative. I don’t think anything of it and have no ill intentions. But I don’t want to turn down a hug and make it awkward especially if I don’t know the person as much or just met them so I just reciprocate it back when they make the hug gesture.
Is this wrong to give the hug back or is he just being insecure? When guys give hugs are they doing it to “get closer” to you or simply just greeting you and being nice? Thoughts?
