I am talking about like when a guy asks you out and won't take no for an answer and eventually you just have to be rude about it and tell him to get lost.

Do you hate being rude to people, or is it easy for you?

I hate being rude, but I know for some it is easy. What do you think?

Guys how should a girl handle it when she doesn't want to be rude to you? What should she do if you won't give up?

It could also be any other situation where you are unnecessarily forced to be rude.

Depends on how stupid they are and how pissed off they make me. Generally I prefer to not be rude.

For example, my local cable company cut the lines for my aerial antenna for digital TV. I don't have cable. I had video footage of this as well as well as face shot of the person that did it and images of their license plate and the side of the truck which was labeled as belonging to my cable company. When I called them to address this cause it's vandalism, the idiot lady on the phone told me that it was illegal to get television via antenna. My response was "what you said here is basically telling me you're too stupid to do your job without telling me you're too stupid to do your job" I demanded her supervisor.. And discussed with him he swore up and down that it's not his fault that his tech cut the lines. So I got with my local sherif, gave them the evidence, and had the person arrested and his vehicle impounded for vandalism. Literally an hour later I had someone at my home fixing the damage and the local VP begging me to drop the charges. So I told him how I was treated, and that I would only drop the charges if every single person involved in my conversations was terminated.. Which happened and I dropped the charges.

I am not nice to stupid people..

Yes, I hate being rude. Though I have learned that being nice brings you nothing other than being taken advantage of. I usually have limit of tolerance. If I figure the person doesn’t worth being nice with, I’d make sure they know their place.

Depends how big of a b**** she is or how big of an a**hole he is. No, I don't like being rude. I avoid it whenever possible but SOME people make it unavoidable.

As far as how should a woman handle guys that won't give up. For starters she should be AWARE of her actions. Yes there are some guys that are relentless but they are very much NOT the norm. Typically when a guy is relentless in his pursuit it's because she has brought it on herself. Either intentionally and then grew bored with him. Or unintentionally through sheer stupidity. By her mid 20's a woman unless she's lived in a shoe under a rock KNOWS what she's doing. She knows the affects her words and actions have.

Now, in the RARE cases where she did nothing to instigate a guys advances she shouldn't hold back. She should flat out say "I'm not interested, I will never be interested, not even if you were worth a billion dollars, and had the schlong of king Kong, won't happen EVER, don't construe this as a hint to try harder, it's not going to happen". Because guys are TAUGHT by women to be persistent. Like it or your gender is to blame in part you want to be pursued. Unfortunately that means you're going to be pursued by guys you don't want to be. And some guy unfortunately are not quitters.😆

I'd rather have civil discourse, even during debates, but some people are jerks, insane, or hazardous, so unfortunately being polite or patient doesn't work in those situations.

I sincerely wish that it did though. I'd love to only have to spend my time with people who don't push me to that point of needing to be rude. So if you're asking if I get any pleasure out of it? No. Not even when telling off an asshole.

Its just a source of stress to me, and I prefer to avoid those when possible, but I'm not going to doormat myself either.

In regards to the specific situation you mentioned where you felt the need to be rude, I'm not sure, because I don't persue, but maybe you should be very direct or cut off communication with the guy or just ignore him?

In either case, I think you being rude was justified if you were being harrassed, because harrassment is rude, and you get what you give.

No doubt I hate being rude in general. Now, sometimes one is forced to be rude. Some boring people count on that politeness feature to take advantage, to get you do or buy something for instance.

On the phone I have no patience at all anymore: the voice intonations already tell me it's again someone trying to force something useless on me, and I just cut off the conversation, or, depending on my mood, first state I'm not interested before putting down the receiver without listening to the insisting person.

it's personality, I'd look at yourself more so you understand yourself. You may not feel good hurting people. You aren't hurting them by being mean, you are protecting yourself and educating them. Evaluate if there is growth for you to do here.

It was hard for me to be mean, I'm not mean, but I'll be clear.

Realize there are people whom enjoy hurting others.

I don’t like being “rude”, but I’ll do it to people who deserve it. Like your example. If a guy is pestering me and won’t back off, then I won’t feel bad about being rude towards him. It’s deserved. I’m not rude to people who show respect.

I am not rude. It fights me a lot of times because guys think of it as flirting if you're nice. I later just dissapear and hate myself in the process but I hate being direct and rude, I am slowly learning to be direct, rude I can't be 😕

I am usually a person that is 'slow to react". Sometimes I can't believe 'what I just heard" from people, and am just stunned by some persons rude comments. I am learning to respond accordingly.

I feel guilty for being rude to people even if it’s their fault.  I think a girl should clearly say no to me so that I stop any sort of advancements towards her and back off immediately.
