If women don't need men, why do they worry about being in relationships and marriage so much?

till this day I never understood this logic. women here in the west always claim they strong and independent and dont need a man but then suddenly act like they're gonna self destruct once they realize they haven't found THE ONE to settle down and start a family with (or to support her and the kids she already had with the dooshbags that broke her and turned her into a single mother)

is like how can you be so hypcritical and claim you dont need a certain person just to put your life on that person's hands in the future?

us men in the other hand we tend to mean this when we say it. I personally have male friends and relatives who are pushing 40 and even 50 who still haven't started a family and are worried about lots of things except that.

I do not know about woman... but as a man I will be honest with you. I know for a fact; I do not NEED a woman. Like I can cook, clean, and pay for all my shit myself, I do not need a woman.

But fuck man, I want one. Like I think that is the only thing I am missing. I was married for 24 years, been single for 5 years. I love being single as well, but I liked being married as well... until I didn't. But she was not the right one. Probably never was. But when it was good it was really good, and when it wasn't it wasn't. So, I definitely do not NEED that.

I think all these women that go online and date men, are lying if they will not admit to that very fact... it's not about need it's about want. Sure, say all that you do not need a man and woman all you want if it makes you feel empowered or better to think that in some way... but if you want a man or woman... then it's not about need it's about want.

The heart wants what it wants, and needs are secondary. If you have ever truly been in love with someone... I mean truly, then you know you wanted that person to be there for you more than anything... regardless of if you needed it or not... you wanted to have that one person there to provide that emotional support and lean on when you needed to lean on someone.

It just makes it easier when that person is there, and we all want that on some level. If it not what you want that then you would not talk marriage or even, try to date.

To be honest I wish every man on this planet would suddenly become asexual for one year. Just one year.

In the beginning of the year most women would be happy but towards the end they would absolutely go insane. Reason being:

Women would lose attention from men which is something they instinctually crave whether they admit it or not. This includes virtual attention like IG models. Suddenly this quick fix would vaporize overnight.
Women would lose patience and tolerance from men. Women don’t realize how much men hold their tongue when putting up with how women act compared to other men. No the attraction element is gone women would get a ton less leeway.
Many women would (rightfully) lose their ability to make money off men. The prostitution and porn industry would go bankrupt. Gold diggers would quickly get kicked out of men’s lives. No more IG modeling and OF model bs.

Now on the bright side all sexual assaults, harassment, rapes, etc would all but cease. But overall women would be in huge trouble if this ever happened.

Only the ones who provide real tangible value to men would respected. Now of course there are plenty of women like that exist. But I don’t think how many women realize just special they are men JUST because of their sexuality.

To say you  need  a man implies that you can't survive without one. Women can survive on their own these days. They don't have to grab onto any man just because they are desperate.  And to say that you  need  someone also implies that you are incomplete without one.  A woman can want a man without needing one to survive. She wants one because she is heterosexual and would like to find a partner to spend her life with - someone she admires, loves and respects and who admires, loves and respects her; a best friend, trusted companion and sex partner; someone to hold hands, go places and do things with, confide, kiss, cuddle, share romance, and build a life together. Some woman really mean it, and end up in a lesbian relationship, and an adopt a child. They make their own income and are self-sufficient and are doing well for themselves.

But, for a straight woman to say that, who wants to have a family one day, it’s only going to come back to bite her in the future.

Unless a woman is lesbian or wants to be single for the rest of her life, she shouldn’t say those kinds of statements because they have some misandrist undertones.

A lot of the same women who talk about not needing a man also talk about men being useless or men being trash.

Just like misogyny repels women, misandry repels men — at least men with self-respect.

So straight women who actually want a husband in the future shouldn’t say things like that.

Just like a straight man that wants a wife shouldn’t downplay the value of women and they should show their appreciation for women and what they contribute.

A woman who blatantly advertising their lack of appreciation and respect for men is a fast track to repelling future husbands.

But, many women parrot the ‘I don’t need a man’ phrase without fully understanding the implications and effect of saying that.

It was a trend and many people hopped on that bandwagon in the name of female empowerment without entirely knowing where it might lead them.

So for those women who said that and are now backtracking, it just means they are waking up from autopilot and realizing that they didn’t actually mean what they said. It wasn’t a statement they intended to die by. And now they’re backtracking and eating their words because they aren’t lesbian and don’t want to die alone.

Words have consequences too. They’re just reaping what they sow.

We should appreciate the women who don’t do that — the woman who do appreciate the men in their lives.

In the end, he stopped wanting me when he stopped needing me.

Seems like “wanting” is more important than “needing.”
