I know she probably means well, and I love my friend, but would you be offended?
I'm single, and my friend told me she was inviting me over for dinner. She also invited over her boyfriend's friend, who by her own admission is addicted to alcohol, drugs and gambling. He also isn't my type physically even though looks aren't everything.
My friend told me she doesn't really like this guy as a person, but that night she and her boyfriend tried to set me up with him. I wasn't really interested even though he seems fine, and the next day she kept asking me why I wouldn't hook up with him. I said because I just don't think we would click (trying to be polite) and she said she thinks we'd be a good couple as I would "tame" his gambling habits. She then kept trying to set me up on the next few hangouts even though I said I'm not interested.
I'm not annoyed but a bit put out that she would set me up with a gambler. Would you be a bit offended if your friend did this?
