Because a lot of women want children. I know that is becoming less common as women focus on their own careers but there are definitely lots that still want a family. So if they see a guy that is good with kids then they know that the odds of him being a good father are high. As for would I date a guy that taught young kids? Absolutely I will. I have a friend that teaches kindergarten and I know what she goes through. You have to have a very strong passion for little kids to do what she does. So any guy that puts forth that sorta commitment is a good person and if I intended to have kids then he would be a good choice.
