Do women ever meet a genuinely decent man and just think, "he could be a good date" only to never ask?

Also, when the relationship is good and going really well, but the woman is stable but the man isn't, why's that a deal breaker?

Just cuz I can't work doesn't mean I can't protect and defend you..

Also ladies this is especially for you, why do you guys ask trap questions? My ex asked me what I would rate her from 1-10, and I asked if she wanted me to be honest, she said yes i said physical appearance, about a 5 (she was a slightly heavy young woman) and I said her personality and ideals were a solid 9.

And this woman still gets mad at me!

It's baffling how many women are angry you were honest about her being a 5. Much better than you lying. We are all going to pout, fuss, blah blah blah if you rate us. But, we genuinely want to know. Well, some of us. I would rather my partner say 7 and be honest than 10 and be lying. I'm certainly not going to lie to them about what I think about how they look. That's silly.

Yes, we ask "trap" questions. I have no idea why we do. Maybe to test your love? I want honest answers but in the most loving way possible. You rating who she is on the inside a 9 was pretty sweet. Probably could have buttered up the rest a bit by reassuring her. Maybe she's insecure?

Yes, I've met men who could have been excellent partners and done nothing at all. I just wasn't interested or ready at that time.

Most women enjoy stability. Most men do as well. Most people don't want a partner who can drag them down instead of make their life better. Protection and defense are very tiny and minor needs for women. We aren't exactly being attacked by tigers when we walk outside. Even back when we were, men still brought home food and made useful items to use or barter. They worked hard.

Women have high standards because the women who didn't DIED. The women who did survived and made us. Some lessons had to be learned and ingrained the hard way.

lol you won’t ever win w women. For once they’re controlled by their emotions so you never know how to respond or talk to them from day-to-day. Hell maybe even hour-to-hour. I think part of what they look for is instinctual, just as in nature. But there are some who are just extremely crazy w their wants from men. The same goes for men looking for someone more feminine, younger, fertile. You can’t be honest w most of them because they don’t take honestly well. You’re stuck. The way it works is that if there is even 1 tiny thing about you a woman doesn't want, she may give you a totally different reason for why she's not into you or no reason at all. Then she could meat a guy who had the same flaw as you but SOMETHING else about him makes up for it. From your POV it's not fair but everybody isn't compatible.

Oh, and it's not necessarily that she's even conscious of why she's not into you as you might think. Sort of like when us men look at a woman we can instantly know whether we find her visually attractive or not... even before we consciously think about the kind of explanation you can put into words.

Focus on being the best man you can be. Have high standards. Don't feel bad if you don't get X number of women. In my life I passed on a LOT of women & I don't regret any of that.

To clarify more for your "trap question"... well, if it's me. I don't need to ask. If a man would like to be in a relationship with me, it means he finds me hot. I am the best for him.

Personally, I won't choose a man who finds other women more beautiful than me. Esp. if he compares and compliments them in front of me. Yeah I know this sounds insecure. The truth is there're too many men did this, comparing their partners with me. Belittling their own girlfriends and wives just to seek attention from a new woman. It is disrespectful and degrading. I do feel sorry for those ladies who have no choice but only man who showed a tiny interest in them and hooked. Unawaring that their men just want someone to use until they find a hotter girl.

So a question back to you, what encouraged her to ask the question? Did you always compliment and compare her to other women? That made her wonder why she should be with this man.

I think it comes down to women being "choosier" with who they want to settle with in general. Not just humans, but animals too.

Think about it, I would have to spend my lifetime with the man I choose and bear his children (an 18 year commitment minimum, a 9 month hellish ride too). I would be sacrificing my looks, years, and freedom for someone so they damn well better be good.

Now, men absolutely do commit in their own ways. Financially is traditional, but a lot of men are stepping up to be... Well, dads. Caring for the baby with the mom too. However, a man could have an easier time walking away from, say, a one night stand without much worry of his own body getting pregnant. He doesn't have to stay stuck with any physical mistake (child support exists yes I know).

What I'm trying to say is that, if we're talking pure human nature, a woman is giving up way more physical resources than a man. That's why she's way more picky. This doesn't account for things like legalities and the like, but it may help shed some light on why we have this mentality.

Women's standards are not high at all. Don't be fooled. They want those kinds of guys as a novelty: decent, protector, makes money, and they feel like they're good for a relationship and would make a great father, but a lot of women choose low quality men for sex or with the belief that they can change or fix him, knowing he's messed up. They will also pay for him and drive him around too.

Women impose "high standards" on men they know are good value, but have none when they're sleeping with low quality men or on a ridiculous mission to fix him.

Evolutionary ethics answer those questions. Women carry the baby so women who chose men who could provide resources and could protect and would stick around for the kids were more successful in leaving progeny behind them. The girl who didn't care about those things was bred out of the gene pool.

Girls don't ask guys out because the grand scheme is parlaying a relationship for sex. That has higher likelihood if the guy is really thirsty for the girl. If the girl asks, the guy might be happy to fuck her for a while but isn't enthusiastic enough to form a relationship.

Second I don’t date men who can’t financially provide, I have a baby who is depending on my income fully. They are often very delusional because desperate low quality men over compliment them their whole lives, so if you tell the truth, they will get upset. I feel like some women indeed have high standards but it may not be what you initially think. Of course, some chicks will look only for money or status but for most women - simple things are the ones that counts - that you are loyal, loving, show her attention and make her feel wanted and special (every day with little things and ocassionaly with dates, flowers etc.) Sadly, many men fail to do that.
