Recently I admitted to my friends that I feel ugly without makeup. They completely ignored it though, and moved on to another topic super quick. Perhaps they were annoyed by what I said? I was trying to be honest and hoped anyone else could relate 🥲
u They don’t sound like really good friends. Friends support each other and listen to each other. It is possible that they didn’t want to hurt your feelings and thought they would if they told you the truth. That is the thing tho. Friends tell each other the truth and don’t get upset. I think that they should have listened and been supportive. You should bring it up and say that it is important to you to talk about it because it is an issue for you. If they are halfway decent friends they will sit and listen and try to give an honest opinion. Hope it works out for you.
Well, either they were not interested ofcourse or they had nothing to say that could make you feel good.
Moments like these actually tell you how true your relationship is.
It could be entirely any other reason why they did that but if not, it just shows they didn't care enough. So it's best you keep your insecurities to yourself than sharing with them.
Perhaps they didn't have the heart to tell you; Oh darling, you are ugly even with makeup. ?
