Should unattractive guys avoid approaching women?

People care about looks. That is when they like the person genuinely because that is a sign of health and good genetiv content.

So in my opinion unattractive guys ( me included, do not say i am a hypocrite) should avoid approaching women as they care about a beautiful face , good hair and a lean body. Evrything else comes after that gor example some characteristics of personality.

I do not understand why people are disingenious about what attracts.

Yes. Women care only about looks when it id a genuine attraction.

I might be extreme but I think it would be better if no men approached women in such a direct, pick-up style way. It is very bold and risks making women uncomfortable.

Better in my mind is just casually start conversations with people around you, men and women. If you spot a woman you'd like to meet at a social event, you can work your way discreetly towards her but striking up conversations with people around you along the way so that she doesn't feel like you are heading straight towards her. Then when you finally get to her, just go with a friendly sort of, "Hey, how's it going?" type of thing, no pick-up lines.

I really think this is the most easy-going and authentic and gentlemanly way. I understand it is not as bold and suave as a man exchanging glances across the room with a woman and walking directly to her and delivering some smooth line that sounds like it was rehearsed, and major props to guys who can pull that off without ever upsetting a woman, but I think this is a better way that minimizes risk of making women uncomfortable no matter how good or bad looking you are.

No and I think neither side should say I'm not attractive enough for this person. You never know everyone has different taste. The first girl I loved was not considered super attractive but I thought she was beautiful. Guys are more visual so yes we need to find a girl somewhat attractive but personality can make a 6 a 10 to you. Girls are more emotional, they obviously still like looks though but not as much as men. I have heard of women falling in love with men they didn't find attractive at all in the beginning. No one should assume they have no chance because the other is way more attractive.

I believe attraction goes beyond physical appearance and I also believe that physical attractiveness is subjective. Take a look at couples when you are out in public. Do you find every one of them attractive? And yet, they managed to find some who thought they were attractive enough to be with.

I disagree with the premise that attraction goes beyond physical. I think attraction is mostly physical and adjustantly are the attraction to other things.
People adapt to the looks. They are more forgivable to your bad traits of character if you are good looking or they praise you more about the good things etc. In general they are more welcome of you.
Yeah. I guess I could be with a woman on my level of attractiveness but we will see. I do not know if i want to.

It’s a mix of the two. I’m not saying appearance doesn’t matter at all to me, but a guy doesn’t have to be a model for me to be attracted to him.

Seems like a bad strategy if your goal is to meet a girl, get laid and maybe even have a relationship. If you're hot as fuck you may get approached by girls so you avoiding approaches may not guarantee failure. But if you're unattractive you either approach or you get NOTHING.
