To me, a connection is someone you trust, someone you can rely on, someone who doesn't judge you severely, but a guy or man who has the courage to tell you straight up if you're wrong (if needed), someone who aligns your political, religious beliefs, and same sense of humour to make her laugh. A guy or man that has his life together and works hard for his future to be a determined, strong man in society. I would assume this pretty much sums up what a connection is with a guy or man. Obviously, physical attraction is another factor but I digress, everyone is different.

What Girls Said
I’m not sure a connection can be defined so easily. It’s a feeling, something intangible, something instinctual that just feels deeper than any of the things on your list. It’s similar to trying to define love. There’s not a checklist of items that, if completed, will make a woman love you. Similarly, there is no checklist of what it takes to have a connection with someone.
its tough as a guy to be the best version of himself -- caring, charismatic, genuine, isn't a crazy sex hound, like you said it isn't a check list but as a guy I've realized i can't waste time with girls. She's talking to other dudes. I think if you see a guy from class or a dating app or whatever and you find him cute, funny, interesting, sure it's best to go out on a date within a month or less. After the first date if you don't like him you can move on and as a guy I can say, it's easier to move on from a girl where you barely know her. No talking stage should go 1 year and if a girl knows a guy inside and out and she's still unsure, a guy has to move on, no need wasting his time because she could just pick another guy a week later which would prove that she was never interested.
Yes, pretty true.
