Girl who "friendzoned" me and spent a year ignoring me is still acting mad around me even though I now have a girlfriend?

To provide context... there was a girl who sent me mixed signals and then friendzoned me before 'burning" the bridge saying we can't be friends because she thinks I lied when I said I thought her mom liked me when she introduced me to her. Unfortunately we are in the same friends group so she spent the greater part of the year ignoring me (like rolling eyes and the typical you don't exist to me).

About 3-4 months ago I entered a relationship and I slowly introduced my girlfriend to my friends as I wanted to keep it low-key. I figured she'd be happy because she told her girlfriends she hated me because she said she only liked me as a friend but I kept pursuing her (which I didn't. I dated 3 other girls before settling on this new girlfriend). For some strange reason she seemed to have now doubled down on the ignoring and such and even ignores my girlfriend who has been trying to connect with people in our group. I gave my girlfriend a heads up about her and said if you want to be friends that's fine but just a heads up.

I'm debating about just calling her out on her BS as ignoring her is hard as we work together in the same church and I'm not sacrificing friends and community for her but has anyone ever encountered a similar situation?

She just doesn’t fck with you, dude. I think she’s made it abundantly clear there’s no jealousy/romantic interest so we can’t blame it on that, since she friendzoned you even before you made the comment about her mom (which by the way I think is the true catalyst to how she is towards you). She was also cold with you prior to getting into this relationship, so her icing you out completely should be no surprise or coincidence.


I think just have to get a thicker skin about this and understand that you aren’t going to get along with everyone. You don’t have to agree with why she isn’t talking to you, but it’s her right, and your comfort isn’t her problem. Not saying that offensively, it’s just a fact.


If I were you, I would get rid of my expectations of her and return her energy by ignoring her back. For example, you probably think she’s being mean and all that because you expect her to be cordial, friendly and all the other vibes that would make you feel better. She hasn’t been offering that dynamic for a long time, so you should stop expecting it. Focus on your relationship and every other body except for her. There are too many others friends (plus your girlfriend) to give her behavior any more attention and care.

She was using you as her safe, can always go back if she needed to.

Move on, she is not ever going to be anyone you can trust. Don't call her out, it won't get you anywhere and it will just cause a scene. Ignore her, that will kill her inside.

Yo man, that's a weird situation for sure. Sounds like this girl has some issues she needs to work through.

Honestly I wouldn't even bother calling her out or giving her anymore attention. She clearly just wants to cause drama and make things uncomfortable.

Just keep doin your thing with your girl and friends. If she's ignoring you, let her - don't give her the satisfaction of a reaction. Act like she doesn't phase you at all.

As for your girl, support her in trying to be friendly with everyone but give her a heads up this chick might keep up her attitude. She doesn't need the drama either.

I'd just kill her with kindness if you gotta interact in your group. Be polite but don't engage with her bs. She'll probably grow tired of no one giving her the reaction she wants eventually.

Don't let one immature person ruin your fun times with friends and your relationship. You moved on, seems she's still stuck. Ain't no point stressin over it!

It doesn’t matter. Just let her sit on the sidelines of your life. Truth is, everybody single person we know - including our parents, partners, and children - are going through something we know nothing about.

Listen , she is a weirdo, manipulative, attention seeker and she is not even a good person. So block her and move on. Enjoy your life with your girlfriend and friends.
