The girl I suspected was into me and shy shows absolutely no sign of interest anymore. She used to make eye contact, smile, talk nervously to me, and generally stare from far away. However, when I waved at her the other day, she just gave me a head tilt to acknowledge my existence. She doesn't stare anymore, still looks in my direction, yet ignores me up close. When we make eye contact up close, she looks away quickly. We haven't talked in a long time because I didn't initiate anything, thinking she hated me and wanted me away. But when I asked her friend the other day, she said that the girl likes me a lot. Now, what should I do? I don't know. She doesn't show any signs of interest. It's hard because even though I know that may be shy behavior, she's cold toward me up close to the point it makes me feel that I'm repulsive. I have done nothing to her.

So this is probably one of those cases where she is shy and you didn't make a move. You mention that you didn't initiate anything because you thought she hated you. So you waited and so did she. The little signs she did give she gave up on because she didn't think that they were working and that you weren't interested. As for what you can do? Make a move and ask her out. Maybe she does still have an interest but figures you don't. That is really the only thing you can do right now if she isn't responding to your signals.
