Women try to force man to pay for $700 dinner tab since he was the only man at the table?

So here is the breakdown:

• Dinner was for a wife’s friend birthday
• 6 people total. Man’s wife invited the other women
• Man told the server that was going to pay for his wife and for the birthday day girl. However told the server split up the bill for other women
• The other women were completely incensed that they were expected to pay.

in my opinion the man was already being a perfect gentlemen since he offered to pay for his wife and the bday girl. But all these other women went to the dinner fully expecting him to pay for everybody just because he was the only man at the table. What made it worse is that these women kept saying “it’s only $700” to him. The entitlement was disgusting.

facts about this being fake and scripted aside...

a "perfect gentleman" just pays the bill and might discuss it later with the people involved... you do not make an scene at the scene, and certainly not about money

also... a "perfect gentleman" would have considered two things... if this is a birthday party and also a SMALL party, he has to consider that all of the guests are equally important to the wife and the birthday girl being celebrated, so he will not make them any less than his wife and the birthday girl... a "perfect gentleman" seems them all as important, and should be willing and ready for situations like this and to not make an scene as if the important people to her wife are perfect strangers to him

is it fair? that's another story... but being a "perfect gentleman" is about decorum... not about making scenes and uploading shit to socials

That's some wild rationalization there, ND. The whole reason he made arrangements in advance is because so many women today are SO entitled, and are SO ready to take advantage of any male without a hint of shame or responsibility.

It would be one thing if HE, or even his wife, invited everyone to a dinner, but that's not at all what happened here. And, NO!, those other guests were NOT "equally important" from his point of view, and should not have been. This "equality" BS has been taken advantage of for WAY too long - equality ONLY when it benefits women.

This is PRECISELY why men aren't doing this anymore. I guarantee you that every one of those women had a job - it's not like it was pre-WWII when most women didn't work outside the home and had no income (and when men's pay was commensurately higher because they were expected to provide for families on a single income). Women CANNOT demand "equality" when they want authority and power and then demand "chivalry" when they want privileges - it's one or the other, NOT BOTH.

Also @NathanDavis I noticed you are taking my “perfect gentlemen” comment and running with it. If he invited to those other women to that dinner this would be a different story. But he didn’t. His wife invited them. He also paid for his WIFE’s FRIEND. I highly doubt he was closer friends with the bday girl then his wife was. That was a very kind gesture and that’s why I see him as a “perfect gentleman”.

However just imagine he was out of the picture. It was just five women having a nice dinner. The birthday day girl + 4 other women. Would these women expected one woman to pay for all of them? They would of most likely divided the bill into 4 and pitched in to give the birthday girl a free dinner.

The man (obviously) in this scenario had no romantic vested interest in these other women. We do they feel entitled to a hand out when he wasn’t even the one who invited them?

And also @NathanDavis considering how these women DEMANDED the man to pay (some even tried to get up and leave) is a worthy incident to viral. It really is. The entitlement these other women had was 110% disgusting when all considered. Most people commenting about this say the man’s response to this was in the right; because he was.

It’s really not a matter of money either. It’s entitlement. And those women had absolutely zero justification to feel entitled to a free meal from that guy. None.

No. That’s a pushover right there. You don’t have to be a pushover to be a gentleman. He’s not disrespecting anyone. Common sense is common sense, he didn’t invite them and the bill so too high. Had it not beeen so high he might just have paid it all. Or some men like my dad always pays everything that’s all so tooooo generous and people see it and take advantage of that so then when it’s a big group they always end up inviting him with the thought he will pay for everything and so it happens that way most of the time. I have people like that. Just like the ones around that table screaming out “you’re the only man” sickening.
If you want to be the too generous too nice or the pushover then be that but it has nothing to do with being a gentleman.
That type of people (loud women who expect others to pay for them) deserve the same respect they give.

Whoever invited the women should be paying. So man’s wife is responsible for the bill UNLESS while inviting voices out that they will be paying their own bills. Because usually when you invite is because you’re treating but in some cases when it can get too expensive it’s fair to invite but notify the invitees that they will be paying for their own if they do come etc. common sense.

@1073sucks so let’s imagine that the man was out of the picture (5 woman total). It was just one woman throwing a bday for her friend and she invited other friends to come. Do you really believe all these women would expect the one woman to pay? Chances are they would split the bill 4 ways and pitch in to give the birthday girl a free dinner. But they themselves changed there expectations when there was a man at the table. They verbally said so when they were demanding he should pay.

Honestly if I am ever invited out to dinner if it’s just a friend, a group of people, etc. I NEVER expect someone else to pay my bill. Ever. The only rare exception would be if it was MY birthday but even then I pull out my wallet with sincere intentions of paying my fair share.

I’ve had women “invite me out to dinner” and then expecting me to pay when it was all their idea to begin with. It’s happened twice in the past and that was the last time I ever interacted with those oxygen wasting freeloaders. It would be a story if I invited them out to dinner but that’s not what happened.

Just FYI I know not all women are like this. You are probably not like this. But a sizable percentage of women do have an entitlement attitude with men in these scenarios. And it’s not even about the dollar amount. It’s a matter of principle and gender “equality”.
