When a girl takes all my jokes seriously?

So this girl and I talk and joke a lot. The thing is that when I make a comment or something that is meant to be an obvious joke, she takes it seriously and responds as if it was a serious comment. she'll say things like "you are weird" or "you are conceited" or give me some smartass answer. when I tell her I'm just joking she will say "i know, that doesn't mean I have to laugh" and then she'll smile and look away. she will laugh at the lamest jokes other people make (even fake laugh) but not.at mine. does she just dislike me?

I think she likes you. She's comfortable with the others who tell jokes because they're just considered friends to her.

But when it comes to you, she may be too nervous to laugh or think. And she gives you a smartass remark because she feels you're more valuable than her, so she needs to bring your ego down.

And you probably 'Deadpan' the jokes very well. So she doesn't know whether you're serious or not.

Anyway, I advise you to NOT take her seriously. Infact, any negative feedback from her can be turned into a positive thought for you.

"You are weird" = she thinks you're different from all the others. You stand out.

"You're dumb" = she's jealous of your intellect. So she has to say the opposite just to feel remotely better.

But anyhow, she most likely DOES like you. Girls tend to treat the guys like crap in a joking fashion when they have the hots for them. It's a form of flirtation.

i think two things are going on. 1) you don't have chemistry with each other (which is fine because most people don't have chemistry with most people) and 2.) she's a b*cth. I wouldn't even waste my time talking with her anymore.

Well that's the thing. Most of the time we are arguing playfully and teasing each other. Its so obvious that people tell us we fight like little kids. Sometimes it feels like she is trying to hide her smile for some reason. I ask her why is does she act mean to me and she tells me because I'm annoying

It kind of sounds like my humor. I'll just be straight faced when someone tries telling a joke. To me, it is hilarious to see the reactions. I usually don't lead them on very long about it though, I'll laugh like 30 seconds in so they know I'm kidding. Maybe it's just her humor?

yeah, maybe. Its just odd that she will sometimes use my own jokes or comments on me later on. If somebody else makes a slight variation on the same joke, she will laugh. I think she is just trying really hard not to laugh for whatever reason.

maybe because she doesn't thik you are making a good impression and maybe you make her all serious or uptight because you're so silly or whatever.
