Girls does it scare you when you pop balloons or when balloons pop? What is your reaction when they do pop?

Lol one time my step brother was walking down a high street and jumped on a balloon. There was a brief pause when everyone stopped to look and it went quiet. An old lady then said, "I thought someone had been shot"

it's not really a girl thing-it's a non-deaf living creature thing. of course it scares me,i just go ''if you pop that,i will murder your family'' when I see someone trying to pop a balloon

I hate when balloons pop even when I know someone is planned to! I just can't stand it and every time I jump when a balloon pops.

Its a human reaction to be afraid of a sudden and sharp noise. It is not just girls that experience this, it is most people. But I'm with ya, every girl I know seems to be afraid of it.

balloons popping certainly makes me jump but it doesn't scare me too badly like I know it does some people. though a balloon popped in my face once and I blacked out lol

yes because 1. they sound a little like gunshots or like "wtf was that" alarming enough

2. the fear of getting hit in the face with the debree/what's left
