Do guys flirt with every girl but the one they really like?

I met this one guy who was a total flirt and he complimented, touched, and talked with almost every girl in every class. He even called me cute once. A lot of girls were talking about how they thought he liked them, figuring out he was doing the same thing to everyone, and this one girl came in and said that he had a crush on one girl he never talked to. He didn't sit near her, avoided looking at her, and didn't talk to or touch her but told her friends (whom he flirted with) that she was his crush. She was really annoyed by his weird behavior.
Recently I've noticed more guys act like this toward me, really outgoing guys see me and then instantly turn to talking to everyone else but me and I'm wondering why? Do they like me? Do guys flirt with everyone but you to make you jealous? Or Am I simply not attractive?

Okay i am a girl but the situation i am going through is pretty much like this!

there's this guy and he treats me completely differently to the rest, the others he will touch them and like be more sexual but with me he is usually so much more caring and delicatle and really just, different! Yes yes they do they flirt with every girl but truly before they sleep there's always gonna be that one special girl on his mind! The guy turns out the girls he flirted with he didn't like at ALL! He told his friends that he thinks they are slags and would never date them, turns out he said that he would date me & that all kind of makes senses because i guess he just used them for messing! It is quite sad that some guys will mess around with other females when there's really only one girl & i know this for a fact! No matter how much a guy flirts with girls there's always that one girl they truly like, i think guys flirt around to boost there egos a bit and mainly to have fun!

Obviouslt you are beautiful, you can't just jumo to conclusions like that guys do it for maany reasons like most guys do it and its weird thinking i know so much about this haha! Remember if one day the guy does not chase you when you walk away, keep walking :p

I think his age is less than 20 yrs. He was in an In-term an Idiot stage. According to age every one change, I mean their mind set will be almost like that only, Someone will be different according to their growing environment.
