Guys: If another guy compliments the girl you like (or don't like), will you get mad?

if another guy says "You're beautiful" or something else while you're right there watching him say that, and the girl you like responds 'hahaha' or 'thank you,' will you be annoyed?

If she was your friend and the guy told her that, and she responds 'thank you,' or 'hahaha,' will you still be annoyed or less annoyed?

No, and I don't see how guys rationally can get mad when another guy compliments a girl, be she your girlfriend or your friend. People flirt. Some people do it unintentionally and without any reservations. People like compliments. There is no inert harm that comes from flirting.

Unless a guy is obviously maliciously trying to make a move on your girlfriend right in front of you, it's difficult to justify getting upset over flirting. If casual or unintentional flirting bothers a guy, it's because he has trust issues that need to be addressed. If you trust your girlfriend not to do anything, then it shouldn't matter what intentions any other guy has.

If it's a friend: the only reason a guy should get jealous of another guy flirting with a female friend is if he has feelings for her he has not announced. Because of this addition to the question, I'm going to assume that this situation happened, where one of your male friends made a fuss after another guy said you were beautiful. If this is the case, I'd say with almost certainty that he has feelings for you, but not the will to share them.

I figured as much. If he has any kind of problem with guys flirting with you, he likes you at least on some level. Not saying he's completely interested in pursuing a relationship, but guys don't have a problem with platonic girl friends getting hit on. Hopefully you two work out.

If it's a girl I like - yeah, but it also depends on the guy too, if I don't know the guy, I'm more inclined to become angry rather than annoyed. I would still be angry even if someone had said that to my girlfriend (and I don't know them), but then again, I am the jealous type.

Supposing we weren't actually dating, I might either pursue her more intensely or possibly even less so. If she looked like the type of girl you'd expect to get hit on all the time, it wouldn't really affect me.

@BlackAthlete I wouldn't get mad as in "I'm gonna punch your face in for challenging my manhood." If he hit on a girl that I was clearly with, I would be annoyed by the lack of respect he showed me. But if it's just a compliment along the lines of "I like your hair," then no.
