Why does he turn red when I talk to him?

There's this guy I met a couple of months ago and we got on really well, until I realised I liked him but wasn't sure he liked me. We used to talk always but we've stopped for about a month. I've seen him see me as I leave the lectures and I did ask him out but he couldn't come as he was genuinely busy. Yesterday, I decided to say hi to him (didn't hear me as he was looking at his phone so I called out his name and told him that he ignored my hi) when he said hi he turned bright red, according to my friends. I don't pay much attention to it because he's turned red before when chatting. Does he like me? Or is he not interested hence why he doesn't chat because usually now I start the conversation. Or intimidated (that's what my friends think) If not then I need to distance myself because the more I see him I now get nervous, shy and my feelings are growing.

he might like you and not really know how to talk to girls he likes so if u guys have classes together sit with him n try and do group activities with him n see how he behaves or even try a bit of flirting with him like on a Monday go up n ask how his weekend was and just laugh n go oh thats cool id love to do that with u some time n just touch him lightly on the shoulder n ask him if he wants to get lunch u might have to break the ice n make the first move

He was probably nervous or shy. I tend to get red too, I try to play it cool, but I can sometimes literally feel my face get warm from the blood rush. So he's probably attracted to you.
