Can 2 shy people ever be in a relationship?

i have this crush on a guy.we never really spoke. every time I see him though we both look at each other then turn away. last week at a party he stood next to me and said hi I just smiled back then my friend tells him have you met my lovely friend and he said he remembered me from h.s. that was about it. then we both stood quiet. then he walked away. we still kept looking at each other later and then turning around. I figure we are both shy. so my question is will two shy people every be in a relationship? I'm too scared to speak to him and he's not making a first move. I think he likes me but what's up? I know he thinks I'm pretty but I feel like maybe he thinks I'm boring cause I'm shy & quiet. any advice...

Deffinetly me and my new girlfriend who I have jknow for 8 yeasrs are both super shy and we decided to hang out and c dear john and we decided to make it a date (our first date for both of us.. Then we played a little truth or bdare to find out the feelings about each othwe and later on we were kissing and enjoying it and bomm we were boyfriend and girlfriend I hope this helps you.

I wrote my story in this article for the website. Basically, I realized that I wouldn't have romantic success until I allowed myself to open up and talk, to have people get to know me. It sounds so simple, but this epiphany eluded me for years prior to that. I made a goal of talking to one or two new people daily, until it became second nature. Eventually, I turned the corner and made serious progress socially.

I don't know what to say after hi, lol. I'm usally quiet all the time. I usally see him at partys. so if I see him I should walk past him and say hi, then what? what should I say or do that doesn't sound corny or desperate?
