Important - if a guy listens to your really personal problems?

If a guy listens to your problems in detail and tries to help - and I mean really personal stuff - and reminds you that you were going to ask him about something instead of just having fun and ignoring it... is that a big deal do you think? And what do you think is the difference between a good friend doing that and someone who likes/loves you (God willing) doing that? Like for instance his brother helps me out but I think my crush knows that some things I wouldn't discuss with any other guy. I kind of told him that.

I mean being willing to possibly see you cry and we're talking a really deep emotional subject here. And sit and freeze in the car and discuss.

Well, I always like helping other, especially with this type of personal stuff, so if I was that man, it would be totally normal.
I don't like opening up to others though.

Hmm (and nice to meet someone who does) and he doesn't do this with others I don't think - and he does actually open up to me which surprised even his brother.

If he opened up to you, then it's a good sign, as it means he trusts you, and feels comfortable with you. So he can possibly like you, but at the same time, he may just consider you a friend. It all depends on the type of relationship you both have.

In my opinion it all depends on the guy. You have to look at if he does it for everyone else too, or if it's something he only does for you.

Yes, but generally to a much lesser extent since men are less likely to want to open up for advice.

Like guys are less likely to ask for others' advice you mean? And wouldn't that make it a bigger deal if he's willing to help me with my problems?

Yes. Most women I've met have expressed the same sentiment so they are really shocked when a guy actually listens and tries to help.

Yeah lol - I don't know I've always been pretty close to people in general, I'm a people person, but this is like - well I was just impressed because I said on Facebook that I was really down because of something and that I couldn't tell him over text so while we were out tonight he was like "so you wanted to tell me something?" and I was surprised because I would expect most guys to avoid the subject (and a potentially crying girl).

But many stereotypes do have a basis in truth. This is one of those times. But it would also depend on the emotional maturity of the guy, too.
