I met this guy online we'll call T. We talked for about a month. I think I was starting to have feelings. However, I met my brother's friend and we started casually dating. I decided to be honest with T but its been a week and hasn't replied to my text. My understanding is we could still be friends but did i misunderstand? Or what is happening?

the "just let me know" means he was a bit interested. However, the fact that you told him you met another guy for him means, you are not interested.
Unlike popular beliefs, guys have emotions too... unrequited love affect them just as much as it affects girls. Maybe he's trying to move on? Staying friend with someone you once loved is difficult at first.. Absence helps.

He was probably never all that interested, you guys met online (probably never met in person) and he lives far away

I'd say he's fine with just being friends, he doesn't seem very broken up
