Basically we were texting and I was joking around with him and then he called me annoying. So i told him to have a goodnight since I'm annoying and then he texted me "smh bye"... what should I do... I haven't responded yet..

Not such a big deal don't read to much into it. he was probably just annoyed because he thought you were mad at him. just pretend nothing happened start another conversation and don't bring up that conversation again. People useally misinterpret text messages because you can't see how the persons actually saying it.

Then he's a dick, I'd wait until the morning and see what happens. He could just be in a bad mood or have something else on his mind, sleep on it before texting something back that might spoil your relationship.
