Guys, how do you feel about the girlfriend wearing your shirts?

Usually I like sleeping in my bf's t-shirts, maybe walking around the house in one of his button-ups or something, never outside of the house, just around the apartment or whatever, makes me feel closer to him. I'd read that guys liked this, thought it was sexy (and this was from a guy so I figured it was a pretty reliable source) and I know that doesn't apply to all guys, but whenever I try to wear one of my current bfs shirts he freaks out...what's up with that?

It probably has to do with his comfort level. Wearing his shirt is, oddly enough, a sign that the relationship is serious. You wear not necessarily because you like the shirt, but because it's HIS shirt. If the guy isn't as into the relationship as you are, he may get uncomfortable. Maybe you should start with a hoodie or sweatshirt, rather than a t-shirt or button-up.

No we've been dating for months, and he always freaks out like I'm going to destroy them. "That one's a classic!" he'll say...or one time I put on his phillies t during the world series and you would've thought I was going to jinx the team. I think he's just weird.

im totally indifferent about it personally, but it does make me wonder why she's not wearing her own. if its more comfortable, buy stuff like it of her own. that's what I say;.

It's not about buying men's clothes just to wear them, it's because it's your boyfriend shirt. It smells like you, it's soft and worn in. You're telling me you don't like the thought of a girlfriend walking around your place wearing nothing but your old t-shirt?

Exactly! It's special, not because it's nice, but because it's "his" in particular. I remember the time I asked my last boyfriend for his shirt, he gave me without hesitation. It had that "him" scent, in fact I remember times when I'd just pull the shirt close and sniff, at that time my sis thought I was going crazy. Haha lol... There's that feeling though!
