Cuddling with opposite sex friends. Ok or not?

I spent the night with my ex after a day out. We slept in the same bed and cuddled all night. He initiated the getting undressed and sleeping in the bed together. I initiated the cuddles at first. Who doesn't like cuddles!

Its the only time we've ever spent the night together and not had sex. But I've kind of made a stand on that as our prev relationship was pretty much sex and not much else.

He changed position every time something was 'waking up' but would then come back to spooning me, kissing my back, snuggling in my hair etc.

Thing is, he has a girlfriend. I'm single so I don't feel I did anything wrong but I do feel it was probably something she wouldn't be too happy about.

Can I brush it off as innocent on his part?

First of all we weren't naked, we were in undies. Secondly it wasn't at all sexual, it was more of a comfort thing. Thirdly, I was really drunk. Fourthly, I'm single so why am I being told off here? :(

And yes, I'd feel a bit crappy if I didn't know his girlfriend cheats on him all the time so I understandably don't have any loyalty to her myself.

I'd share a bed with any of my male friends and have a cuddle. The question wasn't about my behaviour. It was about his.

Cuddles and sex, are known intimate things, being your ex.. I'd say you still have feelings for him.

Umm, no. Kissing your back is more than cuddling. I've cuddle with a female friend before but we were both single and absolutely nothing else happened. I see nothing wrong with that. It is fine to cuddle with the opposite sex but u have to make sure it doesn't lead to more... which usually does. In your case he is an ex and has a girlfriend so i dont think it is a good idea in this case

That's how I felt after.. I just wasn't sure how to raise it with him. He's my best friend now and we are overly close (we text every day) so it didn't feel exactly wrong but I felt like maybe it shouldn't have been so intimate. I've been trying to pluck up the courage to speak to him about toning things down but couldn't find the words. Thanks
