He always wants to facetime?

So this guys I've been close to for a few years recently broke up with his girlfriend and, coincidently (sarcasm) he began to text me, asking for advice, support etc. It wasn't a serious relationship- more like dating.
Anyway, he persistently began to ask me to facetime and this became a regular, until we fell asleep. I have slight feelings for this guy, but I'm sure it will blow over. However, he gets a lot of attention from other girls and he is quite the flirt and always talks about getting another girlfriend ( he said it wouldn't work between us because of how close we are) . But if he takes half his day to talk to me and compliment me, buys my gifts , then is he really into me or something?

Perhaps he's trying to find out how you feel. Some guys need more "hints" than others. Assuming you're interested - and he's either really interested but won't say it, or just hasn't allowed himself time to heal properly from his breakup.

Don't let yourself be a fall back girl for a guy who doesn't truly value what you have to offer.
