Why does he keep asking questions about my sexual past?

I've been spending time with this guy for about six months and for some reason ever since I opened up to him about my past he has becomes obsessed with asking me questions about my past sexual partners. It turns into him asking me for about two hours non-stop! He is constantly asking me about the tiniest details and what sexual things I've done with those other guys and how many times and in what rooms. Then he will ask 'so what happened next?'

When I'm talking about one past sexual relationship I had with a guy and he will ask me if I still text him and if I still have his number. I keep telling him that I blocked him. The issue is that he becomes withdrawn afterwards and isn't as talkative to me. Every story I tell about me (no matter the topic) comes back to "and who was that with?" or "who were you dating at the time"

He always asks me to show him pictures of the guys who I slept with and when I show him the pictures he goes 'he looks weird' and says 'he looks like he is full of himself'

He hasn't expressed any interest in me before and isn't physically attracted to me, so why is he so interested in my sexual past?

A lot of men generally enjoy hearing stories about a girl being sexual for a few reasons. One of which they find you attractive in some way and just hasn't admitted to it. he perhaps doesn't think he has a chance with you. Another would be he may be interested in you and is attempting to discover what you enjoy during sex. This is also a subject that isn't really spoken about in more public surroundings so there is a thrill in hearing it much like discovering secrets.

From the information you provided he could be verbally probing to see if you to confirm if you are single or to see if you want to get back together with them. as for wanting to see pictures of them he might be attempting to ascertain what you like visually or to simply see what he thinks your type might be. He might also be attempting to formulate a mental image to fuel his imagination

As for becoming withdrawn once the story ends the thrill tends to go with it once it's over. Because of the nature of the stories he finds them far more interesting than stories of things that happen every day. Or he could just simply be nosy.

If you think that he might be interested in you and that you are interested in him, it might be wise to confront him about it directly. Of course he may very shy in expressing that interest to you for fear of rejection. If this situation is bothering you instead of the opposite then it may be wise to confront him and clearly define some limits.

It sounds like this guy is crazy insecure. It definitely sounds like he likes you more than he admits. He probably started out wanting to engage in sexualised conversation with you but now he's just being plain jealous. The fact that he puts down the guys that you've been with, making comments about how they look, definitely suggests that he is comparing himself to them.

He's either extremely insecure with himself or he does have feelings for you and has to project his jealousy over your past lovers onto you to cover up the fact that he has them. Could be a mix of both. If it makes you uncomfortable I would express that and if he continues I wouldn't put up with it.
