My boyfriend is selfish and insensitive...and this guy truly cares about me?

I've been in a relationship for a while now, and lately my boyfriend (soon to be fiancee?) and I have hit a rough spot. This new guy (who shares a lot more interests with me and dotes on my well-being) showed up and really made me question my relationship. NO, I will never cheat. I'm not sexually attracted to the guy, just the fact that there could be a much better guy for me somewhere out there (maybe one with ambitions and a future) makes me question committing my life to my boyfriend. I haven't been able to sleep lately I'm so conflicted. I love my boyfriend. I'm scared of ending my relationship, because I don't want to hurt him. What do I do if he's insensitive, selfish, and I'm scared that I'm settling for a loser,when I could have so much better? Does that make me a horrible person? Please help me...

No, wishing a good future for yourself does not make you a horrible person. I totally understand you are scared of ending that relationship and that you don't want to hurt him. But ask yourself if you can share a life time with a selfish, insensitive guy, who is also a looser? You are young (if you're really in 18-24 age bracket), you truly do not have to tie yourself down now. Can you ask your boyfriend for a little break so you can think? Like just a little trial separation?

Dump your boyfriend. If your boyfriend is selfish and insensitive then why do you care about hurting him? It doesn't seem like he cares about hurting you when he acts that way? You have to live your life for you and do what is best for you. If I were you I'd dump the lame boyfriend and either be single or move on to a guy that treats me better

You might love your boyfriend, but something tells me you don't love the person he has become. That doesn't mean you need to stay with him. Granted, I believe some things can be fixed and worked on. But if he lacks any enthusiasm to try, I really don't see the point in staying in such a relationship. Never marry someone if you have doubts. They will not disappear when you are married, they will only intensify. Do what feels right.

Well you have to choose what you want, either you get the guy that gives you emotions and gets you horny or the rich nice guy that's going to take care of you. All I can say is more and more nice guys are waking up to the game tho so you better choose while you still have your looks
