Why won't my boss introduce me to his wife?

My friend turned boss still hasn't introduced me to his wife although he's had a handful of chances to do so. We started out as friends, but he recently became my boss. Our friendship has answers been completely innocent. I haven't met her yet, but have seen her out and about with him a few times. Sooner or later we're going to be in the same place at the same time, company outings, parties, etc. Why hasn't he just introduced us? I'm almost tempted to just introduce myself the next time I see her. It just feels weird.

He's obviously not hiding the fact that he's married so i doubt it's because of anything inappropriate. He probably just wants to keep his work life separate from his personal life. It's not a bad thing.

Maybe he wants to keep it professional, there's no reason to introduce an employee to his wife cause at the office you're just an employee for him like his other ones, no favouritism

If he's avoiding introducing you for a reason and you force the issue by taking it upon yourself to introduce yourself to her, it may cause friction between you and him.

Why does it matter so much to you that you haven't met her?

Because even though we're now boss/employee we're still friends. To me it just seems like he's going out of his way to hide her from me and I don't understand why. Neither one of us has done anything inappropriate so I don't see why he's acting like this. Just trying to make sense of it is all.

Maybe he's finding it hard to work out what the separation between private life and work life should be. Even tho you're friends he is still your boss now. Has your friendship changed in any other way?

He'll introduce you when the opportunity presents itself. In the meantime you have way bigger things to pay attention to.

I've guarded my manager's kids in my office while doing unpaid overtime for another reason. But I never met his wife ( Ioften had her on the phone when he was absent.)
