Does she think she's a rebound?

My girlfriend broke up with me over 4 weeks ago...I meet this one girl at a house party two weeks ago, told her what my deal was heard that she had no deal that she was single. she put her number in my phone. couple days later we went out to dinner and a movie it was a hangout not a date lol. we've been text the past week. She thinks we should hangout just as friends because she thinks I'm vulnerable...what does that mean?...does she think she's a rebound?...should I tell her that she's not and that I like her...

She does like you, but she's not going to make a move since you just got out of a relationship. If she says you are vulnerable, it means that she doesn't want to take advantage of you. Reassure her that you had a wonderful time with her and you do like her "more than a friend." If she is still uneasy about going out with you, tell her that you'll take things slow with her.

She enjoys hanging out with you but she can't get too serious about you because there is a strong possibility that you aren't completely over your ex. There is nothing worse than developing something with someone new then they turn and run back to where they came from. Give it some time and your actions will prove to her where you'd really like be. There however is a strong possibility that I am...the way she broke up with me and everything....very shady. I guess if I told her where I'm comming from...would that help the situation?....

Honesty will always help the situation but if she really really likes you, you have to prepare yourself for her to back off a little. She's not trying to get hurt in this situation but she will respect you for being honest.

She'll back off a little to prevent herself from getting hurt. If she knows for a fact that you still have feelings for your ex then she won't get but so wrapped up into you. Put yourself in her shoes for a minute. Would you become serious about someone who may still be serious about someone else?

No I wouldnt....but what I'm saying is I don't have feelings for my ex anymore but I like this girl I just met....I want to tell her that, tell her she is not a rebound, and that we can take it slow.....Is that a good idea?....or should I just let it play itself out

She probably wants to hangout with you and get to know you and yeah possibly thinks should could be a rebound and doesn't wanna get hurt or move to fast and just get to know you first.
