So I am just your normal average college girl but with a little secret. I love to dress up as a mermaid and go swimming in a swimmable mermaid tail. This is a hobby called mermaiding and this is real and is not a joke. There are people out there other than me who loves this hobby. I discovered this hobby one day surfing youtube. I have told by my family that they think that I am going to scare guys away as they are going to think that I am some wacko who's head is not screwed on just right. Would guys find this hot or a turn off if they found out that I like to do mermaiding?

As a guy, I can only say, whatever makes you happy! I don't consider this hobby something to be ashamed of or to be regarded as something only crazy girls do. I can role with it, especially if I am trying to make efforts in a relationship to find the same joy that my partner receives with her hobbies. I am sure you look wonderful swimming in your mermaid tail and that should be enough to turn on any guy willing to enjoy your hobby with you! So, don't feel ashamed or crazy, just do your thing and an understanding guy will appreciate your hobby!
Okay, so you've got the mermaid tail on and you have to go pee. Assuming you don't just pull the mermaid bottoms off and pee in the water, how exactly do you manage this? Do you have bikini bottoms on under the mermaid bottom and take the mermaid bottom off in the water so you can walk to the bathroom? 'Cause you can't really walk with those mermaid bottoms on.
I'm a female and at some point was obsessed with World of Warcraft... I would love to dress up as a blood elf/night elf and go to the Blizzard conventions and such. But, I just don't have time for such things having kids, career, etc. If you enjoy it cool. There is somebody out there for everyone. It would surely beat dating a scrapbooker :)
It shows confidence and your first priority should be to make yourself happy if others dislike due to that tough there's going to be someone who'll love it
I would probably find it a turn on because it shows confidence. I like girls who do not care about others opinions ( without hurting ofcoursr) and just feels confident by herself. You time, your body, boys should like you as a whole. As for me, i like the merimaid idea but it might be complicated trying to get to talk to you?
It shouldn't be a turn off, just seen as an unusual hobby. It could lead to some interesting conversation and maybe some weird kinks. Some guys might love it more than anything

Don't give a shit about the hobby itself, I'd be glad to see a chick in less clothing than usual though. Not a really a turn on, but definitely not a turn off
I know I wouldn't approach you personally. I don't really have an opinion on the matter other than it seems incredibly impractical and makes it hard to swim

It seems a little over the top, but I've always had a fantasy of fucking a mermaid, so I wouldn't mind I guess, as long as you let me make a hole in your mermaid tail.
