So my guy friend and I started talking because of a mutual friend 5 months ago. About 4 months ago, he started to facetime me every night. We stopped for a couple of weeks because I was super busy but he’d still call to check if I was available. He lives part-time in my city because his parents are divorced. The last two times he has come we’ve hung out. The first time we went to dinner with one of his friends and the next day we hung out all day (played tennis, ate, went to a mall). Two weeks ago we hung out with a group of people and we got dinner at a sushi restaurant. At dinner, he was trying to grab my attention by taking my chopsticks or lightly pinch my arm. After dinner we were trying to decide what to do and he was hugging me from behind. We hung out with my friends all night. The next day he left for a trip and on his way to the airport he snapped me and said “I don’t know why I miss you so much right now haha”. He also calls me babe when asking me a question and makes up random nicknames. He still calls and texts everyday which make me think he’s interested but there are things that make me think he’s not. He talks about other girls and them flirting with him all the time and how he gets so much attention but he always says he rejects them. This makes me think that to him I’m a really good friend or he’s trying to make me jealous. He’s mentioned his previous girlfriends but briefly. I’ve tried mentioning guys but he says he doesn’t like them even though he hasn’t met them. Overall I honestly don’t know what to think. Over text and snapchat he doesn’t seem interested but he calls me every day. He also acts different in person so I don’t know.

The only girl he consistently mentions is his best friend since they were 4. They dated twice (each time for about 8 months) but it never worked out. He’s made it clear that he doesn’t have feelings for her but they have a touchy/really close relationship. I’ve never met her so I don’t know how he behaves around her. If I knew maybe i’d be able to compare it to how he bagged around me.

I feel like he might like you and he could be trying to make you jealous you could ask him about his bestfriend again and see what he says
