I am 19 year old and i am only 5"6' (168cm) . Personally I like being small. If I could magically be taller it would be only because I ride motorcycles and i'm a too short for some bikes. Having a girlfriend that's taller or shorter than me isn't important to me.
You wanted to leave just because of a 3 inch difference? That's why. I'm 5'4 but just accept it. A lot of women think height impacts what kind of guy you are and it doesn't, that's why a lot are insecure and probably why he said he was 6ft
I think she wanted to leave because he lied about something so dumb.
It's not necessarily dumb when 90% of women ask for a tall man and most guys are not even 6ft , most guys I know are around 5'6 5'7
Well testosterone levels do impact muscle development and height so I think that’s one of the reasons height is a factor.
Its dumb bc he is pretty much average in height. He is 1-2 inches taller than the asker who is 5'7... He's 5'8-5'9. Also... Dumb bc they planned to met.. As if she wouldn't notice he is shorter than what he mentioned

I actually know a guy of your height who is actually doing great in life. He was my biology tutor.
Because he thinks that he has little chance with women if he is shorter than 6'0.
now adays women seem to only want to be with tall guys, they see a guys height is 5'4-5'8 and they don't even get a hi, it's quite sad

Lie, and lie. I'm like a politician every day when I'm out who wants to win an election. I even say "Hi," to dogs and cats. Humans? I flash my white teeth to people. Lol. That's how crazy, ridiculous I am. Of course, I wouldn't smile at funeral services. I smile where it's appropriate.
no not lie and lie, i will admit i forgot the word "most" that was supposed to go infront of "women", but it's true, women be around 5'3 wanting a guy that's 6'0 and over and they laugh at guys shorter than that.. it's ridiculous, at least you're willing to aknowledge short people lol

I think people lie about their age/height/weight on dating sites and social media all the time. Why... I don't know. I'm sure they have self esteem/confidence issues

We are beacuse every time girl talk about the most attractive things in a man, you say "a tall guy". So, we, the small ones, feel that we disappoint that expectations

Masculinity stereotypes. It's considered "manly" to be tall. You'd be surprised how many women won't date a man shorter then them. It's stupid, but it's there.

Exactly I'm 5'9" I'm an approachable guy I don't stare I teach kids I'm not the worst looking bloke but I get told I'm not tall enough they prefer guys 6 ft and that's it end of convosation like that's all that matters
that's ridiculous. of course I'd speak to a guy under 6ft. I know lots of guys below 6ft. I wouldn't speak to a liar tho

I have nothing to worry about in the height department. But i don't know, could it be that maybe girls make height such an important trait that it would make a short guy feel very insecure?
