Why do random girls stare or glance at me?

I've started to notice that girls seem to stare or slyly glance at me in public places. I usually catch at least one girl doing it on a daily basis and today I noticed 4. If I look in their direction they either quickly look away or make eye contact and smile at me. Some girls also seem intimidated by me for no apparent reason.

I've noticed this myself with women in public places, mostly at the local shopping centre & when I'm out & about. One girl was making it really obvious she was staring at me in the pet shop a few months back. I'll never forget it, lol.

I was counting out my change to see if they had given me the right change, then I looked up & saw this girl staring at me. I smiled back because she was smiling at me & put my change away. When I looked up again she was still smiling away at me. I said excuse me, do I know you? She went bright red & I started laughing realising she was eyeing me up. She was very pretty as well, made it a bit too obvious for my liking.

The other wk I was in the bank & someone I kinda know she was staring at me for ages at the next desk. Her ex used to work with me, she used to say hi, in passing all the time. Now I notice it's these glares as if she's intrested in a sort of way look. Next time I'll just get a random convo going with her & see what happens.

This happned one time I went to the post office to collect a parcel. I opened the door & a girl in front of me was again making it obvious she was intrested by staring at me & smiling. I said Hi, to her & again she went red in the face. Like yourself I notice that as well with girls it seems to be prolonged stares or random glares. It's not like I'm shy or anything, & I say Hi, to them if I get a look, lol. It's weird.

When they quickly look away who knows why. They could be interested and shy or insecure but they could be thinking your the weirdest person they have ever seen as well.

When they make eye contact and smile, they are interested.

Usually when people are bored, they explore their environment. Many examine the people around them. Looking at the peoples clothes, hair, face, etc. It's only when they get caught that they look away. That's one explanation.

Or you could be attractive. Many people enjoy having 10 minute crushes on a person they don't know.
