My boyfriend doesn't like Asian foods

My boyfriend is white and I am chinese.

He doesn't like Asian foods, he doesn't bubbles teas, he doesn't like Asian stuffs in general. So, now, we're eating mexican, american ..foods all the time. But lately, I am getting a little bit sick of french fries, hamburgers and pizzas..

I tried to give him a hint by saying: aw I'd like to eat (Chinese dish) so much..It's too bad you don't like Asian foods..

And he answered: hum..Why don't we eat at St-Hubert? ( chickens and fries)

And I always end up saying "yea okay"

How can I ask him to eat Chinese once in a while?

or is it too selfish to ask him to eat Chinese even if he doesn't like it?

This question is interesting. Why don't you guys eat different things then? You can either order takeout or you can just eat separately.

no boyfriend of mine could ever eat my diet without getting horrendously obese because I have an abnormally fast metabolism, and so I would never expect a guy to eat my diet. I would be totally OK with it if I was eating steak and he was picking at a salad!

Say you want to go to a Chinese restaurant and you're tired of eating american food all the time. just keep it real with him. if you go to a chinese restaurant he can still get chicken wings and french fries right? (there is a chinese restaurant in my area that has chinese food and also honey wings and fries)

you don't have to eat every meal together. it's OK if you ate chinese food without him...

You don't always have to eat together. If you feel its important to share your meals together tell him how you feel about it and if he still isn't convinced simply go buy both kinds of food as take home dishes and eat at home together.

Why don't you just eat what you want, and he eats what he wants? It's a more logical approach. And you both get what you want.

How won't you? You go pick up what he or you want first, and the the other gets theirs. And then you go back home and each together. Just make sure the locations have carry-out. Or would be willing to do something like this.

well, I think anybody who DOESNT like chinese food is silly. Lol

And no. It's not selfish. If you're always going where he wants to go to eat, then you need to be all like, hey I wanna eat chinese food this time. He should do it for you anyways just because he should. A dude should be willing to give in every once in a while.

Have him try less exotic asian food. Like orange chicken or something. And then just build on it.
