In general, people are attracted to similar people in terms of wealth, intellect, etc. Intelligent guys generally like intelligent girls. But this comes with a big caveat. Although girls can be driven and intelligent while being good people and attractive mates, I find it is very common for those kind of girls to develop a sort of psychosis that makes them unbearable to be around. The same thing is true of smart guys but not at the same rate. Most smart, driven girls I have come across (in the Ivy League and Oxbridge) are very off putting for this reason. It is hard to describe, but it is a mixture of lack of humility, lack of wisdom, overconfidence, and a misplaced hatred towards any man that crosses their path. So before assuming it is academic, you need to do some self examination personality wise. And if it is just an academic incompatibility problem you should find college will help resolve it, because you will be with more similar people intellect wise.

Not at all in my case. What I wouldn't give to find a woman with whom I could have a logical, sustained and enjoyable conversation with. Most guys find it intimidating when a girl shows them up at anything. Bottom line; it's a sad shame we didn't go to school together.

Not assuming something: I do like talent and intelligence in people (which includes women) - but if this is rubbed into my ears each undefended moment... I get a little tired of that.
No, however with some women, that comes with an attitude of arrogance or an ego (or it may seem that way with her physical behavior, example she never smiles etc) and those things can be a turn off. Or, like a woman would, we make assumptions like you don't want to be approached etc. Don't wait for them, YOU approach guys you're interested in (why don't women do this?). At least go up, smile and try and strike up a conversation.
Not at all. It's kinda one of my deal breakers because I'm not really good at discussing much outside of what I like to think is deep conversation.
I like smart girls. But most women are not that smart. Knowing math and science does not men they are smart. İn the life itself how much they are smart? Thats the important. Some educated people do a lot of bullshit things. They are not smart, they are just educated.
