A guy coworker keeps asking if I'm ok?

So I recently started a new job a couple of months ago and have been slowly adjusting to it. There's a guy coworker that started asking if I was ok and checking up on me to the point where I was starting to wonder if he considered me the "weak link" in the chain at work who always needed help. I'll admit it's nice to be checked up on but it also feels a little weird when no one else is getting asked that question as far as I can tell and there are some other new people as well. Another guy coworker said I was sensitive today so maybe the guy sees me as that way as well?

I'll also add that I'm starting to like him but I'm not sure if he likes me in the same way. He has a girlfriend but from what I've heard, it doesn't seem to be the healthiest, so I am trying to be as respectful as possible in that area.

how many women co-workers do you have? Chat to one of them maybe? See if this is something they do to every new-hire or just women.

There's quite a few and he does talk to them. I just feel like not quite as questioning as he is with me.

it's not about chatting with them. it's if he is patronising you, or is he just looking out for a new worker?

To be fair to all involved, there is little evidence that what he is doing is problematic.
maybe he just wants to make sure that new workers get their feet under them and know what they are doing. I mean an effective team makes all works easier.

I understand. And no I don't take it as patronizing just trying to show care. He usually doesn't press anymore once I respond I just wonder what goes through men's brains sometimes.

Haha maybe. Needless to say, there's really no point I suppose in making guesses since he's dating someone else anyway. Like I said, I'm not going to try to cross a line. Thank you for your input!:)
