When a guy invites a girl over to “hangout and watch movies” will the aim be to only watch movies? or is he hinting for more?

This guy invited me over to hangout and just watch movies, in his words. This isn’t the only time i’ve been to his house, but last time we just played video games and talked and then he drove me home. this time around I feel is different. he’s been flirting with me, saying he’s excited to see me, and said when we hangout we can just chill at his house and watch movies. but I don’t know that’s code for trying to do more or not. I just want to know what to expect and prepare myself for the unknown while still keeping my boundaries. what could he be possibly be trying to do?

I don’t know if this will change anyone’s opinions but he’s really nice and respectful. that’s why i’m so confused, I don't know. maybe the respectful and nice ones can still try and set that kinda stuff up but who knows. just thought i’d add that!

Sounds like sex. Do not go and trust your gut. I don't trust him and his intent. You can feel it, do not go. If he wants to know why then you tell him you will not go if that is what is going to happen. He wants to have sex and he is deliberately setting that up. Tell him what you have to say now. I don't find that appropriate at all.

Asker, I don't care who he is or portrays. Whenever a man invites a woman for that and it's not his friend platonically, he wants sex. It's all an act. Everything is an act in the beginning to win your affections and attention. Everybody is on their best behavior when attracting mates and partners, that why you won't suspect flaws and it often leads to sex with the wrong people. Bad enough premarital sex is a sin. That's why you make your standards and boundaries clear as day from the beginning on day 1. Because if you don't, they all assume you agree to the practice. And if you agree with premarital sex, they will think you're a hypocrite for not putting out. So think long and hard about seeing this guy. Intent matters more than just how he treats you.

It's expected to be nice.
Anybody can be respectful in practice.

But not every man is a gentleman or Godly. Remember that.

thank you, I really appreciate different views on this. I agree that I don’t think it’s a good idea to go over either. Reason I asked this was because I had that thought in the back of my mind. I’m going to just be honest and see if there’s something more public we could do. this also makes sense to me because I’m leaving out of town soon for a few months and it would make sense why he’d want to see me before I leave.

Yes, avoid going to each others houses for a long time. If he wants to see you, it should be in public. If he is showing signs of other problems, time to end it.

It depends whos asking, no doubt some people think this can only mean sex but i dont see it that way at all, i would suggest that it either means exactly what it says on the tin or lets create an environment where maybe something will happen but its not essential.

I’m a virgin and i’m just not ready for that with him yet, he hasn’t even made a move to kiss me lol, like i mentioned I’ve been to his house before so he’d had the opportunity. which leads me to believe he does just want to hangout, but I don’t want to be put in uncomfortable situation when I was just expecting to watch movies

Maybe I can't relate to how guys treat you, but I know in my experience, when I would invite my girlfriend over to watch movies it was always her initiating the kissing and trying to get into my pants.
