So I confessed to my crush recently that I like him & I thought he liked me back too cuz of the way he acted. We both work at a school, we’ve known each other since college. He’d always tease me, always give me advice/help me, always come over to my area to talk even tho he already knows what to do. If I was sick he’d check up on me to see if I’m okay. He even comforted me when I got yelled at work.
So anyways, I resigned from work 3 weeks ago cuz I found a teaching better job. Last week I was trying to confess my feelings to him. But also last week a new TA (my position/crush’s friend) started to work there. I’m usually not a loud/talkative person w/someone I just met but with him I am. Just felt natural & easy to talk to him. He even told me his ideal dream girl randomly out of nowhere.
Tho when I asked him to help me confess my feelings to my crush he told me to just go for it. So I confessed to guy 1 I like him & he was surprised but he said let’s try it as long as it’s not serious & it’s just a date. So guy 2 would ask me if he can talk to guy 1 to ask about us. So I went on date w/guy 1 but he kept talking about how well me & guy 2 get along so well that everyone sees it. I didn’t even realize it. Guy 1 also mostly talked about work but he did try to get to know me better after the dinner & he asked me questions in his car. Then he would bring up his friend every now & then.
On Monday, guy 1 acted like he wanted to say something but didn’t even after I asked him all he had to say from our date was that it was fun. Guy 2 kept asking me how was the date & asked if there would be a 2nd date.
Today was my last day. I asked guy 1 if he’d like a 2nd date but he said he’s not sure. He’s good with 1 date. He said sorry I like you as a friend only but I appreciate you telling me you like me. I don't know If that’s a good thing or what (cuz I was only listening not responding). Then he tells me to go for his friend instead. I’m so confused honestly.
