I have a crush on this guy but the females he follow I don’t look nothing like them, They have Big hour glass shape and big breast and flawless skin. I have a natural pear shaped body but my body is Really slim and it hard for me to gain weight. Females get surgery on something I’m naturally born with but I feel like my body is not big enough And I don’t have big breast and my skin is not all flawless. I have potential but if I feel like I have to gain weight to get a guy attention then I don’t want anything to do with a man because I would want someone to like me for who I am. I haven’t come forward to tell him that I like him and I liked all his pictures to try to get his attention but he didn’t say anything. I the shy type and don’t like rejection. What should I do

Hello! This post made me sad... Because you seem so sad. But you really don't have a problem.

I don't need to know this guy to be able to tell you, he does not expect an Instagram model. No guy is thinking that real girls are going to be photo-filtered instagram models!

You know how, when you were a kid, you had posters of (a young) Leonardo DiCaprio, or Johnathan Taylor Thomas (JTT!) or whichever 'celebrity hotties' you were into?

This is essentially an adult doing the same thing. So just like you weren't expecting boys to ACTUALLY have the dreamy-smooth-skin of a young Leonardo DiCaprio... not in real life. It's the same exact thing. It's just 'celebrity non-sense'.

You don't need to be thinking about this AT ALL. This guy would be surprised and upset, if he had any idea that a girl is interested in him... but hadn't made a move because she didn't measure up to the girls on his Instagram.

He would tell you how crazy and unnecessary it is for you to think he's expecting (or even WANTING) some Instagram model in real life. But he can't. Because right now he has no idea you like him. So I'm telling you FOR him.

I really really think you should go for it. Instagram doesn't mean a thing. I would be so upset if some girl didn't approach me for a silly reason like this.

Now, I am not shy. I can tell you, that liking all the girls he has on instagram... might just be the worst way I've ever heard of to let a guy know you're into him. Guys, for the most part, are not good at taking hints. Even obvious ones. Right now, he's wondering why you'd do that. Part of him is wondering..."so, does this mean she's into me?" But a larger part of him is like "what is going on here. Why would she do that". It's just not a clear enough way to get a conversation going.

So what is your relationship to this guy? Like where do you know him from? Have you guys talked before? Could you just... find a reason to say hello? Because that would be way more effective to get you two talking. 🙂

Yes I spoke a few words to him. He is related to someone who was a famous child actor back the 90s, the child actor is no longer with us, he died back in 2002 and I use to have a crush on him too but he’s dead. He knows it but I don’t want him to think I’m weird and I don’t want him to think I like him because he related to someone famous. If he wasn’t related to someone famous I will still like him because he’s just my type and he seem like a good guy. You are around the same age as him and I’m 31. I’m pretty sure he use to having women coming at him a lot. His uncle who was famous who was a good looking guy and a lot of women was in him too.

Oh ok this is a bit of a different situation than I thought. It sounds like this is more of a 'celebrity crush' situation, insofar as it's someone you don't know aside from the fact that they're related to someone famous. I understand that you don't like him BECAUSE of that, that he's your type aside from that. But still... yes, that's always going to be a bit of a long-shot. 🙂
